Parliament Session Special Discussion On Constitution In Lok Sabha Updates In Hindi: A two-day debate on the Constitution has started in the Lok Sabha on Friday December 13, 2024 to commemorate the beginning of the 75th year of the adoption of the Constitution in the country. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh started the debate. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reply to the debate on Saturday December 14 , 2024 .

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, while beginning the discussion on the Constitution in the Lok Sabha, said that the Constitution prepared by the Constituent Assembly is not just a legal document, but a reflection of the aspirations of the people. Our Constitution paves the way for development, touching all aspects of social, economic, political and cultural life. The role of many people in the making of the Constitution was deliberately denied. Rajnath Singh also said that an attempt has been made by a particular party to ‘hijack’ the work of constitution making.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, while initiating the debate on the Constitution in the Lok Sabha, said that we the people of India adopted the Constitution on 26 November 1949. I heartily congratulate this House and all the citizens of the country on the occasion of completion of 75 years of adoption of the Constitution. I can say that our Constitution paves the way for nation building by touching all aspects of social, economic, political and cultural life.

Responding to a question by Congress MP Manish Tewari in the Lok Sabha, External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar said, ‘I can answer on behalf of the government. I had given a very detailed statement on the withdrawal of troops and recent developments in the India-China border areas. In that statement, I had highlighted that the final agreement has been reached for the withdrawal of troops, which relates to Depsang and Demchok.’

Huge uproar in Rajya Sabha
There was a heated debate between Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge and Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar in the Rajya Sabha. During the debate, Kharge said that we are here for the country, not to hear your praise. On this, Dhankhar said that the country knows whose praise you like. Kharge said that you should run the House as per tradition. During this, Dhankhar said that I am a farmer’s son, I will not bow down. After which Kharge said that if you are a farmer’s son, then I am also a laborer’s son.
