Hathras- Uttar Pradesh : After the viral post on Rahul Gandhi’s X in the much talked about Hathras Bitiya case, Rahul Gandhi’s troubles have increased. Advocate Munna Singh Pundir of Ravi, Ram Kumar alias Ramu and Lavkush, who were acquitted in the Bitiya case, has sent a legal notice to the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi. Through the notice, each party has been asked to pay Rs 50 lakh each for making damaging statements. It is also worth mentioning here that on December 12, 2024 Rahul Gandhi reached the village and spoke to the family of the bitiya. After this, he posted on the social media platform X.
Advocate Munna Singh Pundir of the District Bar Association has said through the notice that due to party ban in the village, a case was registered against Sandeep Sisodia alias Chandu in Chandpa police station. Due to improper political support of political parties, my clients Ravi, Lavkush and Ram Kumar were included in the case under a well-planned conspiracy. CBI filed a charge sheet in this case.
The notice said that many other political parties including the Indian National Congress also jumped into this case for their political gains and affected the impartiality of the investigation. The Indian National Congress also provided funds to the plaintiff through Rahul Gandhi to ruin the life of my clients. My clients were kept in custody for a long period of about two and a half years and valuable time of their lives had to spent in jail, apart from defamation, humiliation and character assassination in the society due to false allegations of gang rape, murder etc. He said through the notice that the case ended and my client Ravi and Luvkush were acquitted of all charges by the Special Judge SC ST Act. The charges of rape, gang rape and murder against any of the persons considered by the court were not proved in the court. My clients will live a comfortable life because the people of this country have faith in the courts and the judicial system and after the conclusion of the trial, it was believed that my client was innocent and there was no rape with the victim, so after the court’s decision, the life of my clients was going to be comfortable to some extent, but you uploaded a post on X under dirty politics. The post said that keeping the family of the rape victim locked in the house and the gangrape accused roaming freely is against the basic spirit of Baba Saheb’s Constitution.
The notice states that Rahul Gandhi, being the leader of the main national party and the leader of the opposition, every word means the country, but with the intention of deliberately hurting the character, reputation, integrity, which my clients have regained. Despite this, their life has been ruined again by insulting posts on social media, which is contemptuous, because you deliberately deny the decision of the competent court.
Through the notice, it has been said that the defamatory insulting statement has tarnished the character of my clients even after the court’s decision, which is a punishable offense. He has said that within 15 days of receiving the legal notice of defamation, pay Rs 50 lakh to each party, otherwise criminal action will be initiated.
Insulting the judiciary
Through the notice, the advocate has said that it is clear from the post made on X that Rahul Gandhi is insulting the judiciary of the country for dirty politics. He is questioning the decision of the court with his political objectives.
