Maha Kumbh confluence of cultures, shows unity in diversity: UP CM

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (PTI)

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended his greetings on Monday January 13, 2025 as the Maha Kumbh 2025 commenced in Prayagraj, marking the world’s largest spiritual and cultural gathering. The event, held on the sacred banks of the Sangam—the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati—began on Paush Purnima, drawing around 40 lakh pilgrims who took a holy dip in the early hours.

Taking to social media platform X, the Chief Minister described the Maha Kumbh as a “confluence of cultures and a message of unity in diversity.” He welcomed saints, Kalpvasis, and devotees who gathered to meditate, take holy baths, and experience the harmony of faith and modernity.

“Greetings on Paush Purnima. The world’s largest spiritual and cultural gathering, Maha Kumbh, begins today in the holy city of Prayagraj. May Maa Ganga fulfil all your wishes,” Adityanath wrote.

The CM further emphasized the significance of the event in another post, stating, “Where there is a confluence of cultures, there is also a confluence of faith and harmony. Maha Kumbh-2025 Prayagraj offers an encounter with Sanatan traditions along with the welfare of humanity.”

Held every 12 years, the Maha Kumbh will continue until February 26, showcasing India’s rich spiritual heritage while promoting unity and devotion.
