Krishna Janmashtami festival is celebrated in the joy of the birth of Lord Krishna. According to Hindu religious beliefs, Lord Vishnu’s 8th incarnation Shri Krishna was born at midnight on the Ashtami date of Bhadrapada Krishna Paksha. Lord Krishna was born as the eighth child of Mother Devaki to free the earth from the atrocities of Kansa. This is the reason why the festival of Krishna Janmotsav is celebrated with great pomp every year.
Simple worship method of Krishna Janmashtami
On the day of Krishna Janmashtami, wake up early in the morning and take a bath and after that go to the temple of Lord Krishna and offer peacock feathers there.
If you cannot go to the temple, then offer peacock feathers to Lord Krishna in the temple of the house itself.
On this day, decorate the idol of Lord Krishna well.
Prepare a swing for him.
Chant the mantra of Lord Krishna 108 times during the worship.
Take a bath again before the worship at 12 o’clock at night.
Then wear clean clothes and prepare for worship.
