After the failed drone and missile attacks by Pakistan on the night of May 8-9, 2025 , Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held an important meeting with the CDS and the chiefs of the three armies on Friday May 9 , 2025 . The picture that has emerged of the meeting has given a big message to the country and the world. All the officers present in this high-level meeting held in a closed room not only looked calm, restrained and confident, but their restraint with a light smile in the picture reflects India’s strategic stability and preparedness.
The meeting was attended by Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi and Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan. The confidence shown in the picture was not just emotional relief, but a clear message: “India is safe, the leadership is alert and there is no need to panic.”
Two-hour strategic discussion
This meeting of the Defense Minister, Chief of Defence Staff and the three army chiefs lasted for two hours. During this, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi gave information on the current situation with Pakistan, while Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh presented details of the Indian Air Force’s retaliatory actions.
