Raipur: The State Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Saturday July 13 , 2025 honored talented students of various disciplines and schools performing excellently in the PSY Excellence Award Ceremony organised at Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in the capital Raipur.

Congratulating and wishing all the respected teachers, students and institutions, the Chief Minister said that education is not only a means of obtaining a degree, but is the path to serve the society and the nation. Life is incomplete without education, and this is the foundation of the progress of any nation. He said that education is the basic foundation of success in any field.

Chief Minister Sai said that Chhattisgarh has now entered its silver jubilee year and in the past years the state has made unprecedented progress in the field of education. Where earlier there was only one medical college in the state, today more than 15 medical colleges are operational in Chhattisgarh .

Besides prestigious national institutions like IIT, NIT, IIM and AIIMS are also functioning in the state. Schools have been opened in every village, and colleges have been established according to the needs of the children.

He said that in our time there was only one school for the children of many villages. I remember that I gave the fifth class board examination in another village, because there was no examination center in my village.

Today there are immense opportunities for students in Chhattisgarh and every child should take advantage of these opportunities and move forward towards their goals. Said added.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is continuously moving towards the goal of ‘Developed India’, and with this resolve we are also working at a fast pace towards developed Chhattisgarh. He said that in the last 11 years the country has gained respect at the global level and India is again moving towards becoming a world leader.

CM Sai said that the state government is constantly trying to effectively implement the new education policy at the ground level. He said that under the new education policy implemented in the country in the year 2020, education in Chhattisgarh is now also available in local languages. In areas like Bastar, studies are now being conducted in local languages, and medical education in the state is also being given in Hindi.

Raipur MP Brijmohan Agarwal, while congratulating the talented students honored by the institution, said that these children will play an important role in the resolve to make India a developed nation by the year 2047. He said that the contribution of our youth will prove to be decisive in making India a world leader again.

Addressing the ceremony, MLA Dharam Lal Kaushik said that the objective of the institution is not only to honor talented students, but also to provide a platform to talents working in various fields. He said that under the new education policy, concrete work has started towards making the students proficient in various languages. He also appreciated the positive changes taking place in the field of education in Chhattisgarh.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Sai also felicitated artists who excelled in various fields. During the program, senior painter Raj Saini presented a painting of CM Sai with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee as a special gift to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.

PSV President Dr. S.K. Mishra, Advisor Mahendra Gupta, CEO Shubhra Shukla, along with many intellectuals, educationists, dignitaries and school students were present in the program.
