Raipur: A serious cheating case came to light on Sunday July 13, 2025 in Examination Centre No. 1309 – Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Sarkanda, Bilaspur (CG) under Deputy Engineer (Civil) and Deputy Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical) Recruitment Examination conducted by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, Raipur.

Taking immediate cognizance of the information of suspicious activities by the candidate roll number 13091014 – Ms. Annu Surya, father – Kaleshwar Ram in room number 07, the examination hall was invigilated and the girl was caught with electronic devices like covert camera and micro speakers hidden in the undergarments which were immediately seized by a female invigilator .

Moreover Walkie-talkies, tablets, Bluetooth devices and mobile phones were also recovered from Anuradha Bai who was present outside the examination centre to assist in cheating . This was clearly an organised attempt of cheating through electronic means.

The administration has immediately prepared a cheating case as per rules and sent it to Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (Vyapam). Also, legal action has been initiated by informing the Sarkanda police station and registering an FIR. An appropriate legal action is being taken against the concerned persons.

The Professional Examination Board and the District Administration have taken this entire matter very seriously. To ensure fairness and transparency in the examinations, a “zero tolerance policy” has been adopted on such incidents. In future also, strict action will be taken against any kind of unfair activities.
