Chief Minister Sai inaugurated the new branch of Punjab National Bank in Indravati Bhawan Naya Raipur

Raipu: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today inaugurated the new branch, ATM and deposit machine of Punjab National Bank in Indravati Bhawan premises located in Nava Raipur. On this occasion, he greeted the employees of the Department Head Office Indravati Bhawan, the citizens residing around Nava Raipur and the officers and employees of the bank.

Chief Minister Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there has been remarkable progress in the field of financial inclusion across the country. Earlier the amount of the schemes was distributed in cash, due to which there was a problem of leakage, but now through the expansion of banking facilities and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), the amount is reaching the beneficiaries directly and transparently.

CM said that along with the establishment of peace in the Bastar region, the expansion of banking facilities is also happening at a rapid pace. By establishing bank branches in remote villages of Sarguja and Bastar region, the government’s resolve to “provide banking facilities to the last person” is being realised.

Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary said that continuous work is being done in the direction of good governance under the leadership of Chief Minister Sai in Chhattisgarh. There are immense possibilities for the banking sector and economy of the state in the coming times. Chhattisgarh’s role will be important in the creation of a developed India and he also called upon the banks to play their active and effective role in this direction.

Chief Minister’s Secretary Mukesh Bansal and Punjab National Bank Managing Director Ashok Chandra along with other officials and dignitaries were present in the program.
