CM Vishnu Deo Sai in Talks with Korea’s Largest Trade Body Korea International Trade Association (KITA)

Talks Focus on Investments, Technology Transfer and Skilling to Drive Chhattisgarh’s Industrial Growth

Seoul (South Korea) : Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday August 28, 2025 met with Mr. Jin Sik Yoon, Chairman, and Mr. Kim Ki Hyun, Vice President of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), in Seoul. KITA, with over 77,000 members, is South Korea’s largest trade body and one of Asia’s leading business platforms.

On this occasion, CM Sai highlighted the strength of Chhattisgarh’s Industrial Policy 2024–30, its rich natural resources, and skilled human capital. He engaged in extensive discussions on potential avenues of investment, technology transfer, and skilling.

Sai worte on his social media X that Had insightful talks with Mr. Jin Sik Yoon, Chairman & Mr. Kim Ki Hyun, Vice President of @kita_net,South Korea’s largest trade body with 77,000+ members. We explored their role in boosting Chhattisgarh’s industrial growth through investment, technology transfer & skilling.

“Our ties with South Korea are not merely economic but also cultural and historical,” CM Sai remarked. “This dialogue opens new doors for collaboration in investment, technology, and skill development. It will provide opportunities for Chhattisgarh’s youth in modern industries and accelerate the state’s industrial growth.”

The Chief Minister stressed that the state government is fully committed to providing investors with a facilitative environment, speedy clearances, and necessary infrastructure. He expressed confidence that collaboration with KITA would earn Chhattisgarh a new identity on the global industrial map.

During the meeting, KITA Chairman Mr. Jin Sik Yoon and Vice President Mr. Kim Ki Hyun expressed deep interest in Chhattisgarh’s investor-friendly policies and abundant resources. They said Korean companies are enthusiastic about exploring investment opportunities in the state and will take concrete steps towards partnerships in the near future.

CM Sai noted that this cooperation will directly benefit farmers, workers, and local entrepreneurs. Investments in food processing, electronics, automobiles, steel, and renewable energy will generate thousands of jobs, while technology transfer will boost the quality and competitiveness of local industries.

CM Sai further emphasised that Chhattisgarh is not only rich in natural resources but also home to a hardworking and skilled youth population. CM added that “Partnerships with Korean companies will open new avenues for skilling and technical training, strengthening our human resource base at the global level. This collaboration will elevate Chhattisgarh’s economy and, in the years ahead, the state will stand as a model of self-reliance and global partnerships.”.
