Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday October 17, 2025 described the surrender of 210 Maoist cadres in Bastar as a historic moment not only for the state but for the entire country. He said that the youth, once trapped in the false ideology of Maoism, have today resolved to return to the mainstream of the Constitution, democracy, and development.
Chief Minister Sai said that today is a historic day not only for Bastar, but for the entire Chhattisgarh and the country. The youth, who for years had wandered on dark paths and chosen the path of violence, have today put down their guns and embraced the Constitution. This is not only a moment of surrender, but also the beginning of faith, change, and a new life.
Chief Minister Sai said that meeting these young people in Bastar, who gave up their guns and expressed their faith in good governance, was one of the most emotional and satisfying moments of his life. This scene is an evidence of that change comes from policies and trust.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government’s Naxalite Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy 2025, the “Niyad Nella Naar Yojana,” and the “Poona Margem – Rehabilitation to Regeneration” schemes are a call for trust and change. Under the influence of these policies, people in Naxal-affected areas are giving up their guns and accepting the government’s commitment to trust and development.
He said that today’s scene is proof that change comes from policies and trust. This is the foundation stone for a peaceful future for Chhattisgarh. Our government is fully committed to the rehabilitation of the surrendered youths and their bright future.
The Chief Minister said that the Double Engine Government’s pledge is to completely free Chhattisgarh from Naxalism. He said that this pledge is being fulfilled under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Chhattisgarh is now moving towards a new era of peace, trust, and development.
