Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Sanctions Financial Aid to Differently-Abled Rugby Player

Sai grants a Cheque of Rs 90,000 to Support Purchase of Wheelchair and Sports Equipment

Raipur: During the public grievance redressal programme ‘Jandarshan’ held at his official residence on Thursday November 20 , 2025 , Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai extended prompt financial assistance to a differently-abled rugby player from Abhanpur, Raipur.

Pintu Ram Sahu, a young para-athlete, had requested financial aid to purchase a sports wheelchair and essential equipment. Responding with compassion, Chief Minister Shri Sai immediately sanctioned and handed over a cheque of Rs 90,000 to support his sporting aspirations.

Sahu shared that he has been active in sports for the past four years and recently participated in his first rugby event in Gwalior on 2 October 2025. Currently pursuing his final year of Bachelor of Arts, he expressed deep gratitude towards the Chief Minister for the timely assistance.

Filled with renewed enthusiasm, Sahu said he would continue to work hard and strive for greater achievements in the field of sports
