26,400 PM Housing Projects Approved for 2025-26 in Balodabazar-Bhatapara districts of Chhattisgarh

Raipur: The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is a revolutionary initiative to provide permanent housing to poor families, which not only addresses the housing shortage but also strengthens rural life and empowers self-reliance. Following the instructions of the Balodabazar Collector and under the guidance of the Chief Executive Officer, Awas Chaupals are being organised in all Gram Panchayats to ensure the early commencement and timely completion of all housing projects approved under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) Gramin.

These Housing Projects Approved for Construction Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in the district for the year 2025-26, of which Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the first installment to the accounts of as many as 25,580 beneficiaries on the occasion of Rajyotsav.

Awas Chaupal is being organised by technical officers in all Gram Panchayats, which includes beneficiaries of newly approved housing, beneficiaries of incomplete housing projects following previous approvals, masons, construction workers, material suppliers, Sarpanchs, secretaries, and other stakeholders.

The Awas Chaupal aims to provide technical information.

Providing technical information on housing construction, including the construction of rooftop rainwater harvesting systems, and providing information on installing solar panels under the Solar Sujala scheme.
The first installment has been released for the year 2025-26. Instalments have been issued to 25,580 housing beneficiaries. Construction of all housing projects is being initiated. Information about other benefits available through convergence under the scheme is being provided.

The availability of masons and construction materials is being discussed at the Awas Chaupal in the Panchayats. So far, Housing Chaupals have been organised in 56 panchayats in Baloda Bazar, 34 in Bhatapara, 24 in Kasdol, and 22 in Palari. In this Chaupal, housing projects from previous years should be completed quickly.

The scheme is completely free; beware of unauthorized collections.

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) is a transparent and free scheme, where no fees are charged at any level.

The Baloda Bazar Collector has stated that no one can make unauthorised collections, demand commissions, or convenience fees. If anyone demands money under the pretext of getting a house approved, expediting installment payments, or any other pretext, an unauthorised collection should be made, and a complaint should be filed immediately with the District Panchayat CEO, or Collector’s office. Such cases will be promptly investigated and stern action will be taken against the guilty individual found .
