New Delhi: Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar was very impressed with the vision of the Prime Minister. Lata Didi was also seen with PM Modi on many occasions. There was a deep relationship of respect and affection between these two great personalities of the country.

After her death on 6 February 2022, Narendra Modi shared his memories with Lata Mangeshkar through a blog on the NaMo app. Said that she has ruled the hearts of millions of people with her songs. Her departure is the end of an era of music. Lata Di considered me as her brother. Lata Mangeshkar never forgot to wish the Prime Minister on his birthday. After becoming the Prime Minister, she also sent Rakhi to Narendra Modi every year on Raksha Bandhan. PM Modi had told that whenever he met her, she used to feed him Gujarati dishes at her place.
