Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday, September 18, 2026 visited Aghor Guru Peeth at Banora village in Raigarh district, where he offered prayers to Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram and inaugurated the newly constructed building of Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram Vidya Mandir.
The Chief Minister’s visit coincided with the Avtaran Diwas of Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram. Sai offered prayers for the peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of Chhattisgarh and met Baba Priyadarshi Ram, from whom he received blessings and guidance.
Sai also interacted with devotees and residents at the ashram and, following its tradition of simplicity, sat in the pangat to partake of prasad.
He later inaugurated the new school building and visited a science exhibition organised by students. The Chief Minister took interest in the scientific models and innovations displayed by the children and appreciated their curiosity, creativity and scientific outlook.

Education Must Combine Knowledge with Values
Addressing the gathering, Sai said the life of Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram was dedicated to humanity, compassion and social harmony, and that Banora Aghor Guru Peeth continued to carry forward this tradition through its service activities.
“Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram Ji’s entire life was dedicated to service to humanity, compassion and social harmony. By connecting spiritual practice with service to humanity, he showed society a path in which service to the needy and suffering occupies the highest place,” Sai said.
The Chief Minister said Banora Ashram had contributed in several areas of human service alongside its spiritual activities, including health and eye camps, assistance to people in need and support for persons with disabilities.
Sai described the new Vidya Mandir building as an important addition to this continuing journey of service.
“The purpose of education is not merely to impart knowledge from books. It must also ensure the all-round development of children and cultivate values, sensitivity and a sense of responsibility towards society,” he said.
He expressed confidence that students educated at the institution would progress in knowledge and science while also imbibing the traditions of service and sanskar.
Young Innovators Impress CM at Science Exhibition
Sai said the rapidly changing world of science and technology made it essential to provide children with quality education, modern resources and opportunities to demonstrate their abilities.

Referring to the science exhibition, he said the projects presented by students reflected their creativity and scientific thinking. Such opportunities, he said, encouraged children to ask questions, develop new ideas and gain the confidence necessary for innovation.
The Chief Minister also underlined the importance of teachers in shaping future generations.
“Teachers do not merely teach students; they shape their personalities and their futures. Teachers lay a strong foundation for nation-building,” Sai said.
He called upon teachers to develop knowledge alongside discipline, sensitivity, values and a sense of responsibility towards society among their students.
Sai Recalls Family’s Long Association with Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram
The Chief Minister also shared his family’s longstanding association with Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram and Banora Ashram.
Sai said his elder uncle, the late Kedarnath Sai, was a devoted disciple of Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram. As a result, he said, reverence for the spiritual teacher and his philosophy of service had been part of his family environment since childhood.
He recalled receiving opportunities to seek blessings while travelling from his village Bagiya towards Raigarh on different occasions.
Sai also expressed reverence for Baba Priyadarshi Ram, saying he had received his affection, blessings and guidance over the years and that visiting Banora always gave him a feeling of closeness and spiritual peace.
Finance Minister and Raigarh MLA O.P. Choudhary said Banora Ashram had developed not only as a centre of spiritual practice but also as an institution associated with education, healthcare, humanitarian service and social welfare.
Eight-Acre Campus with 41 Classrooms, Nine Laboratories
The newly inaugurated Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram Vidya Mandir campus, constructed by the Aghor Guru Peeth Trust, has been developed over approximately eight acres.
The nearly one-lakh-square-foot G+2 school building has 41 classrooms and nine modern laboratories, besides a library and smart-class facilities.
Activity-based learning and play facilities have been provided for nursery children to encourage physical, mental and creative development from an early age.
The institution has also made arrangements for 32 teachers and 14 office employees.
The new campus is intended to provide contemporary educational facilities while maintaining the institution’s emphasis on discipline, values and holistic development.
For Banora Guru Peeth, which has developed over nearly three decades as a centre of spirituality and social service, the new school represents another expansion of its work in education and human development.
Sai said every act of service undertaken for the welfare of society could become an inspiration for generations to come.
