Raipur: A delegation from the Chhattisgarh Employees and Officers Federation met Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai at his residence on Friday, 6 November 2026, to thank him for the Cabinet’s approval of cashless medical treatment for state government officers, employees and their dependants.

Led by state convenor Kamal Verma, the delegation told Sai that the facility would be particularly helpful when an employee or dependant needed emergency treatment or care for a serious illness. Federation representatives said arranging a large sum upfront and then going through the reimbursement process could place families under financial strain at a time when they needed to focus on treatment.

The federation said the decision would improve healthcare security for lakhs of government employees and their families. The delegation also invited Sai to attend a felicitation ceremony being organised by the federation.

Pankaj Pandey, Satyendra Dewangan, Ashwani Chelak, Jai Kumar Sahu, Pitambar Patel, Alok Mishra and Santosh Kumar Verma attended the meeting along with other federation members.
