Durg: District In-charge Secretary Sonamni Borah today on Tuesday October 13 inspected the Government New Pre Matric Scheduled Caste Boys Hostel of Rahaud in the district. During this, he asked questions from the hostel children related to sports, entertainment and studies. He instructed the SDM Tehsildar to inspect the hostel from time to time and complete the work keeping in mind the needs of the children.
Sonmoni Borah also asked to gardening fruit plants and vegetables in the hostel garden . Collector Akash Chikara, Superintendent of Police Vivek Shukla, Assistant Collector Durga Prasad Adhikari were present on the occasion.
In-charge Secretary Bora asked students in the hostel that along with progress in life, it is important to stay connected with nature. Staying connected with nature keeps the mind calm and focused. The In-charge Secretary stressed on ensuring that the students get a better educational environment and all the basic facilities are available. The children also presented greeting cards made by their own hands to the District In-charge Secretary Borah, seeing which he praised the children and gave them rose flowers and toffees as a reward. On the occasion, Borah also distributed caste certificates to the students.
