Ayodhya: For the first time after the consecration of Ram Mandir, Deepotsav was celebrated on the arrival of Lord Ram. This time Ayodhya’s Diwali has been recorded in the ‘Guinness Book of World Records’. This accomplishment has been achieved by lighting 25 lakh 12 thousand 585 lamps simultaneously and 1121 priests performing Saryu Mahaarti together.
This time the Yogi government took a unique initiative on Deepotsav. For the first time, 1121 Vedacharyas performed the aarti of Saryu Maayya together. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself performed the aarti of Maayya on Wednesday October .2024 evening at the ghat built on the banks of the uninterrupted Saryu. 1121 Vedacharyas, dressed in the same colour, performed the aarti of Saryu Maayya in unison.

To get the name registered in the Guinness Book of World Records, a 30-member team led by consultant Nischal Barot had counted the lamps till late Tuesday October 29, 2024 night. Yesterday on Wednesday , October 2024 as soon as all these diyas were lit on 55 ghats including Ram ki Paidi, the team announced a new record.
Let us inform you you that in last year’s Deepotsav, a world record was made by lighting 22 lakh 23 thousand lamps. This time 30 thousand students of Avadh University and other colleges worked hard for Deepotsav.
