Raipur: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has taken a big action and caught Dev Kumar Singh, Joint Director of Fisheries Department, red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh in Indravati Bhawan of Nava Raipur. This action was taken on the fourth floor of the building.
According to the information received, the Joint Director of Fisheries Department had demanded bribe from the engineer of the department in lieu of settling the departmental inquiry. On which the engineer had complained about it. After receiving the complaint, the ACB team laid a trap and caught the accused officer red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh.
ACB made a precise plan after the complaint and sent the complainant with the cash amount. As soon as Singh took the bribe, the ACB team arrested him on the spot and recovered the bribed amount. After this, ACB raided Singh’s office and house, where property worth crores of rupees and some important documents were found. These documents also revealed that other officers may also be involved in this corruption. A case has been registered against Dev Kumar Singh under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
