A gang was active in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, that lured girls into friendship under the guise of a beauty parlor, and then began an endless cycle of conversion and exploitation. The masterminds of this gang were two sisters, Amreen alias Mahira and Afreen.

Bhopal(MP): A network that began in Abbas Nagar, Bhopal, had now spread to Sagar Royal Villa on Hoshangabad Road. Amreen alias Mahira and Afreen, two beautician sisters, are accused of not only pushing girls into prostitution, but also raping them after drugging them and pressuring them to convert to Islam.

A Hindu woman working at a clothing store in New Market recounted her harrowing story to the police. According to the victim, she met a girl named Sanjana at a friend’s birthday party on June 8, 2024.

Sanjana introduced him to Amreen. In August 2025, Amreen’s friend, Chandan Yadav (who is himself an alleged convert), took the victim to his sister’s house, drugged her, and raped her.

Amreen and Chandan pressured the victim to convert to Islam and read the Quran. Investigations revealed that another gang member, Sanjana, had also converted, changed her name to ‘Jannat’, and married Amreen’s brother, Haider.

The victim was dressed in short clothes and taken to clubs and parties. The victim alleges that Amreen’s brother, Bilal, forced her into sexual intercourse with him in Abbas Nagar, and Yasir, in Ahmedabad (Gujarat).

The journey from Abbas Nagar to Sagar Royal Villa
Residents of Abbas Nagar have made shocking revelations about this gang. Residents say that Amreen and Afreen’s house was frequented by luxury cars late at night. Young women in jeans, tops, and shorts were commonplace.

Forced to Leave the Area
Due to the area’s infamy and opposition to immoral activities, many families vacated their homes. Later, due to growing public opposition, the two sisters moved to the posh Sagar Royal Villa on Hoshangabad Road, where they resumed their network.

Remand and Search
Given the seriousness of the case, the Baghsewania police station has initiated strict action. The main accused, Amreen and Chandan Yadav, have been taken on five-day remand. The other sister, Afreen, has been sent to jail. The police are now actively searching for Yasir Chanu and Bilal.

Police officials stated that a case of rape and religious conversion has been registered based on the victims’ statements, following which a police team went to Ahmedabad to investigate. The police’s priority is to register a case and take action if any additional victims come forward. The accused are being interrogated on police remand. The accused will be given the harshest punishment.
