Aishwarya Rai has often been vocal about how taking on a new identity does not require surrendering your old one. In an interview with India Today she implied that changing her surname to her husband’s was a natural transition and in another interview with Karan Johar  she confidently stated that her career would not be compromised by the responsibilities of her personal life commitments. Later in 2011, Aishwarya and Abhishek were blessed with a baby girl, Aaradhya and her stance seemed to remain the same. So how does one successfully juggle all the various roles they play in their personal and professional lives, including motherhood, and still retain a strong sense of self?
