A colourful cultural programme ‘Sanjh-6’ was organised this evening at Muktaakash, Ghadi Chowk under the joint aegis of Culture and Archaeology Department and Chhattisgarh Mitwa Sankalp Samiti. Purandar Mishra, MLA North Raipur was the chief guest of this programme and Vivek Acharya, Director, Archaeology and Culture Department was present as the special guest.
Similarly, among other dignitaries, Tanuja Baghel, Assistant Director, Culture and Archaeology Department was present. Nagina Nayak, head of Chhattisgarh Kinnar Samaj, was present as the special guest, Sunita Chansoria, Assistant Professor, Durga Mahavidyalaya and Pritam Mahanand, MP representative were present as the special guests. Artists from the third gender community gave their presentation in the programme ‘Sanjh-6’. After lighting the lamp, the first solo performance was done by Meera Yadav through ODC dance.
The programme started with the first group performance by Pratima Group with Rajasthani dance. After this, the artists of Swaragini group also made the people dance by presenting Rajasthani and Chhattisgarh Suageet, Karma Geet, Dadriya and Holi songs. As the third presentation, Yuvraj Badh and his friends from Raipur presented Shiv Vandana in Kathak. Along with this, they won the hearts of the people with their style in Kathak Tihai, Paran and Thumri. It is noteworthy that Yuvraj Badh ji has received Gurratna Award, Madhupuram Award, Madhupuram Samman, Guru Brahm Award and Nritya Maya Award in the field of Kathak dance.
