Attack on journalists, protest held at Rahul Gandhi’s residence

New Delhi: Journalists from Telangana protested at the Delhi residence of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi. Carrying placards in their hands, they appealed for the safety of journalists in Telangana. Let us tell you that a woman journalist who went to report in Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s hometown Kondareddypalli was attacked by Congress workers. The woman journalist has shared her ordeal on her social media account. The post read, Congress workers attacked me and my fellow journalist in CM Revanth Reddy’s hometown Kondareddypalli when we were reporting on the implementation of agricultural loan waiver. Our camera was broken, phones were snatched and we were pushed into the mud. The woman journalist tagged Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi in her post.

She also said that they should recognize the worrying reality of Telangana. I also hope that the Press Council of India will take this attack on women journalists in Telangana seriously. In her second post, she shared some pictures of Congress workers who assaulted and threatened her in Kondareddypalli, the hometown of Telangana CM Revanth Reddy.

BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya’s reaction has also come to the fore on this whole matter. He posted on x. He wrote, what else can be expected in Congress-ruled Telangana. Rahul Gandhi himself behaves hostilely towards the media, calling Congress beat reporters BJP agents, because they ask completely legitimate questions. Surprisingly, there has been no statement from PCI or IWPC in support of their Telangana colleagues. Reactions are also coming on social media regarding the attack on the female journalist in Telangana. A user posted, early in the morning, female journalists who went to cover the story on loan waiver in Revanth Reddy’s native village were attacked. Now see how the same journalists who were going to file a complaint are being chased by goons. This is a sheer mockery of law and order in Telangana. The number of the vehicle and the faces of the people sitting in it are clearly visible. What else is needed for action.
