Bomb threat, full emergency declared at airport, chaos ensues

Thiruvananthapuram: A bomb threat has been received on an Air India plane. According to Thiruvananthapuram airport sources, a complete emergency was declared at the airport here after a bomb threat was received on an Air India flight that arrived in Thiruvananthapuram from Mumbai. After this, Air India flight AI 657 was safely landed at the airport.

The flight is currently kept in the isolation bay. All 135 passengers and crew members have been evacuated. Officials will inspect the entire aircraft. The airport issued a statement saying, ‘AI 657 (BOM-TRV) reported a bomb threat on August 22, 2024 at 0730 hrs. Full emergency was declared at TRV airport at 0736 hrs. The aircraft landed safely. Now it has been parked in the isolation bay, where the evacuation process has started. There is no impact on life. Airport operations are currently uninterrupted.’
