The final of IPL 2026 was played on Sunday May 31 between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Ahmedabad: RCB defeated Gujarat by 5 wickets. Under the captaincy of Rajat Patidar, RCB claimed the IPL title for the second consecutive time. In this match, Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 75 runs off 42 balls, guiding RCB to victory in the final.

Virat was also awarded the ‘Player of the Match’ title for this innings. Additionally, a specific reaction from Virat during this match is going viral across social media platforms.

The incident occurred during the second innings of the match; while Virat Kohli was batting in the 16th over, he played a shot off a delivery from Arshad Khan. Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill dove to take the catch, and the Gujarat players immediately began celebrating Virat’s dismissal.

Virat Kohli appeared completely unconvinced by the catch. The matter was immediately referred to the third umpire, and the replays on the screen clearly showed that the ball had indeed touched the ground. Consequently, Virat was ruled ‘Not Out,’ and the atmosphere on the field shifted dramatically.

Following the decision, the cameras captured a brief exchange between Virat and Shubman. On social media, fans are describing this interaction as “fun banter.” Many users noted that Virat, with a smile, pointed toward the replay screen, while Gill was also seen laughing.

Since the video went viral, fans have been sharing amusing reactions in their own unique styles. Some dubbed it a “Kohli vs. Gill Bro Moment,” while others remarked that it highlighted “Shubman Gill’s sportsmanship.”
