CG Rajyotsav-2024: Mukesh S Singh, editor of ‘The Hitavad’ newspaper, was honored with the Madhukar Kher Memorial Journalism Award by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar

Raipur: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar today honoured 37 personalities and 4 institutions who have made outstanding contributions in various fields with 36 decorations of Chhattisgarh in the State Decoration Ceremony of Chhattisgarh Rajyotsav. Governor Ramen Deka presided over the ceremony. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh were present as special guests.

Mukesh S Singh, Editor of ‘The Hitavad’ newspaper was awarded the Madhukar Kher Memorial Journalism Award by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. On being honoured, Mukesh S Singh said that it is a moment of immense pride and humility for me to share this important achievement – ​​receiving the Madhukar Kher Memorial Journalism Award (Print Media-English)\

He further said that I dedicate this award to my respected seniors, mentors, colleagues, well-wishers and friends. In particular, this honour is a result of the blessings of Baba Kashi Vishwanath ji and the unwavering love and support of my parents – my mother Nirmala Singh and father Surendra Singh – and my entire family. During my 28-year journalistic journey with ‘The Hitavad’ in Chhattisgarh, I have deep gratitude to all those who contributed to this achievement. I especially thank our Publisher and General Manager Rajendra Purohit, Group Editor Vijay Phanskar, Deputy Editor Rahul Dixit, current Resident Editor E V Murali and my former Chief Correspondents and mentors R Krishna Das and Rajendra Mahanti.

Chhattisgarh Governor Raman Deka, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao and senior cabinet members, MLAs and top officials of Chhattisgarh administration and police department graced the occasion.

This achievement is the result of a collective effort, and I am indebted to all those who accompanied me in this journey.
