Chhattisgarh is rapidly moving towards prosperity: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that Chhattisgarh is rapidly progressing towards prosperity. Naxalism, which was once a serious challenge for Chhattisgarh, is now rapidly nearing its end. Development work is now being carried out rapidly in every region of the state. Sai was addressing a program organised in Kotba, Jashpur district today on Saturday January 24, 2026 .

Chief Minister Sai inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth approximately Rs. 51.73 crore at the program. He announced the construction of a Swami Atmanand Excellence School building in Kotba, the establishment of a Tehsil Link Court, the construction of a rest house, the construction of an indoor stadium, the allocation of necessary additional funds for the Kotba water supply scheme, the construction of a community hall in Kokiyakhar, and the establishment of an SDM (Link Court) in Bagbahar one day a week.

Among the projects he inaugurated and for which he laid the foundation stone today, the main ones include the foundation stone laying ceremony for the construction of a community health center building at a cost of Rs. 4.37 crore and the inauguration of a water supply scheme and a press club building constructed at a cost of Rs. 9.85 crore.

Addressing the program, the Chief Minister said that most of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guarantees have been fulfilled. People are directly benefiting from this. He said that to provide better irrigation facilities to farmers, approximately Rs. 3,000 crore has been sanctioned for the repair and development of irrigation projects in the state. 750 roads have been approved under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (Prime Minister’s Rural Roads Scheme).

The Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh will play a leading role in fulfilling the Prime Minister’s vision of a developed India. A vision document has been prepared to bring Chhattisgarh into the category of developed states by 2047.

The positive results of the new industrial policy are becoming evident; Chhattisgarh has so far received investment proposals worth more than Rs. 7.83 lakh crore, on which work is progressing rapidly. At the event, the Chief Minister felicitated the medal winners of the 36th Sub-Junior National Softball Championship. On the occasion of National Girl Child Day, he also encouraged meritorious students who secured first, second, and third positions in the 10th and 12th board examinations in the district under the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child) scheme, by presenting them with cheques and certificates of appreciation.

Present at the program were the Chief Minister’s wife, Kaushalya Sai, MLA Gomati Sai, District Panchayat President Salik Sai, Chairman of the Handicrafts Board Shambhunath Chakraborty, Chairman of the Antyavasayi Cooperative Finance and Development Corporation Surendra Kumar Besra, former MLA Bharat Sai, and many other public representatives, along with a large number of citizens.
