Chhattisgarh is on the path to development under the double-engine government-Vishnu Deo Sai

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, today approved four important projects of the Ministry of Railways worth ₹24,634 crore.

We are extremely pleased that the Gondia-Dongargarh fourth railway line project in Chhattisgarh has been approved; this is a historic decision for the state.

This 84-km project, to be completed at a cost of ₹2,223 crore, will not only increase passenger and freight train capacity but also facilitate transportation for the coal, energy, and industrial sectors. This will enable the transportation of more than 30 million tons of additional freight each year, giving new impetus and strength to the state’s economy.

This project is also highly beneficial from the perspective of reducing diesel and logistics costs and environmental protection. This project will reduce carbon emissions equivalent to approximately 10 million trees every year.

This is an important step towards accelerating Chhattisgarh’s all-round development and achieving the “Vision Developed Chhattisgarh 2047.”

Heartfelt gratitude to the Honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, and Union Railway Minister,Shri Ashwini Vaishnav, CM Sai wrote .
