Chhattisgarh to Celebrate State Foundation Day Celebrations with Grand Rajyotsav Events Across All District Headquarters

Ministers, MPs, and MLAs to serve as Chief Guests in District-level celebrations showcasing culture, development, and unity

Raipur: The Government of Chhattisgarh has announced that on the occasion of State Foundation Day 2025, Grand Rajyotsav celebrations will be held across all District Headquarters on Tuesday October 28 , 2025 . Each District will host festive events featuring Ministers, Members of Parliament, and Members of the Legislative Assembly as Chief Guests. The state government has released the full list of dignitaries assigned to preside over the celebrations in each district.

According to the official list, Dr. Raman Singh, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, will be the Chief Guest at Rajnandgaon, while Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam will preside over the event in Surguja. Similarly, Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu will grace the Bilaspur function, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao will attend the Bastar celebration, and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma will be the chief guest at Durg district headquarters.

In other districts, Minister Dayal Das Baghel will lead the event in Gariaband, Minister Kedar Kashyap in Dantewada, Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan in Korba, Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal in Jashpur, and Minister O.P. Choudhary in Raigarh. The Surajpur celebration will be presided over by Minister Laxmi Rajwade, Janjgir-Champa by Minister Tankram Verma, Balod by Minister Gajendra Yadav, Korea by Minister Rajesh Agrawal, and Mohla–Manpur–Ambagarh Chowki by Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb.

Among Members of Parliament, Brijmohan Agrawal will serve as the chief guest in Balodabazar–Bhatapara, Vijay Baghel in Bemetara, Santosh Pandey in Kabirdham, Chintamani Maharaj in Balrampur–Ramanujganj, Rupkumari Choudhary in Mahasamund, Radheshyam Rathiya in Sarangarh–Bilaigarh, Kamlesh Jangde in Sakti, Mahesh Kashyap in Bijapur, Bhojraj Nag in Kanker, and Devendra Pratap Singh in Khairagarh–Gandai–Chhuikhadan.

Similarly, MLA Punnu Lal Mohle will be the chief guest in Mungeli, MLA Dharamlal Kaushik in Gaurela–Pendra–Marwahi, MLA Ajay Chandrakar in Dhamtari, MLA Renuka Singh in Manendragarh–Chirmiri–Bharatpur, MLA Lata Usendi in Kondagaon, MLA Vikram Usendi in Narayanpur, and MLA Kiran Deo in Sukma.

Across all districts, the Rajyotsav programs will feature cultural performances, folk dances, handicraft exhibitions, tableaux of local products, and stalls highlighting development schemes. The celebrations will be organized with public participation, traditional pride, and ceremonial grandeur, reflecting the essence of Chhattisgarh’s culture, progress, and unity.

These district-level festivities mark not only the 25th anniversary of the state’s formation but also reaffirm Chhattisgarh’s journey from aspiration to achievement — a tribute to the spirit of its people and their shared vision of prosperity.
