Raipur: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Chhattisgarh state has not only created a distinct identity in the state for its public welfare policies and programs, but has also earned appreciation and incentives from the central government by ensuring proper utilisation of the state budget and the amount received from the central government in public interest. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai says that providing better facilities to the people of the state and taking development to new heights is the priority of the government.

Chhattisgarh has made efficient and effective use of the funds allocated under capital expenditure for infrastructure development, which has been appreciated by the central government. As a result of proper utilisation of the amount under capital expenditure, Chhattisgarh state will soon get an additional allocation of Rs 1874 crore. This amount will be spent for the infrastructure and other important projects of the state.

It is included in the budget so that government funds can be used to build and develop infrastructure such as roads, transport, health, education, and industry, Sai Said .

The Chhattisgarh government aims to strengthen the infrastructure and accelerate the overall development of the state. A provision of Rs 17,000 crore has been made in the capital expenditure (state capex) for the financial year 2024-25. This amount is being spent on roads, bridges, schools, hospitals, industrial projects and irrigation schemes. The additional allocation of Rs 1874 crore to the state from the Center will help in implementing new projects, generating employment and further strengthening the infrastructure of the state, CM added.
