  • Recognition for Public Participation and Innovation on National Platform is Encouraging; ‘Mann Ki Baat’ a Powerful Medium Connecting the Nation: Chief Minister

Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said it is matter of great pride that Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned and appreciated the blackbuck conservation efforts in Chhattisgarh during the latest episode of his popular monthly radio programme “Mann Ki Baat”.

He said the continued recognition of Chhattisgarh’s achievements on a national platform not only strengthens the state’s identity but also elevates the morale of its people.

Chief Minister Sai joined a large gathering at Vinayak City in Bhatagaon, Raipur, to listen to the 133rd episode of Mann Ki Baat. On the occasion, he said that the programme has emerged as a powerful medium connecting the people of the country, while providing national recognition to innovation, public participation and exemplary grassroots initiatives from across India, he added.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, like a guardian, engages with citizens through this dialogue, bringing inspiring stories to the forefront while motivating every section of society towards positive change. Such communication, he noted, strengthens the spirit of participation and infuses collective nation-building efforts with renewed energy, CM Sai noted.

Chief Minister Sai said that the national acknowledgement of Chhattisgarh’s work in blackbuck conservation is a matter of special honour for the state and reflects its firm commitment towards environmental protection and biodiversity conservation. He added that these efforts are emerging as an inspiring model for other states as well.

Referring to the decision to classify bamboo separately from trees, the Chief Minister said the move has led to a significant rise in its utilisation, bringing positive changes in livelihoods, particularly for women. He also highlighted the Prime Minister’s emphasis on the need and potential of wind energy, saying Chhattisgarh too is making sustained and concrete efforts in this direction, which would strengthen self-reliance in the energy sector in the future.

In a unique gesture during the programme, Chief Minister Sai shared traditional Chhattisgarhi dishes brought from home with the gathering and joined them for a community meal. He said such occasions strengthen mutual trust, belongingness and the spirit of social unity.

Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Dr. Raman Singh, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, MLA Purandar Mishra, MLA Sampat Agrawal, Chhattisgarh Film Development Corporation Chairperson Mona Sen, Ajay Jamwal, Akhilesh Soni, Ramesh Thakur, along with other public representatives and a large number of distinguished citizens, were present on the occasion.
