Raipur : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday June 10 , 2025 paid emotional tribute to ASP Akash Rao Girpunje, who was martyred in the cowardly IED blast carried out by Naxalites in Konta of Sukma district, and gave him a final farewell. Chief Minister Sai reached the 4th Battalion Chhattisgarh Armed Force Complex at Mana and paid tribute to the martyr by offering a wreath on his mortal remains and gave a respectful farewell to the martyr by shouldering his mortal remains.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met the bereaved family of martyr Girpunje and expressed his deep condolences and consoled them in this difficult time. The Chief Minister said that martyr ASP Akash Rao Girpunje has made the supreme sacrifice by showing indomitable courage, loyalty and dedication towards his duty. We are proud of him. The government stands shoulder to shoulder with his family in this hour of grief.

Chief Minister Sai said that the Naxalites are frustrated due to the continuous successful actions of the security forces. The Chhattisgarh government is fully committed to deal with this challenge. He said that the bravery and patriotism of martyr Girpunje will always be remembered.

On the occasion, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade, MLA Purandar Mishra, Additional Chief Secretary Home Department Manoj Kumar Pingua, Director General of Police Arun Dev Gautam, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, family members of the martyr, public representatives and a large number of common citizens were present with the Chief Minister.
