Raipur: As part of the ‘Sushasan Tihar’ (Good Governance Festival), Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai participated in a public grievance redressal camp organised on Monday May 4, 2026 at Motipur in the Rajnandgaon district.

On this occasion—reaffirming the government’s commitment to public welfare and good governance—he transferred an amount exceeding ₹642 crore via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into the accounts of over 68.52 lakh women as the 27th installment under the ‘Mahtari Vandan Yojana’. Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, along with numerous public representatives and government officials, was present at the event.

Additionally, for urban areas, a sum of ₹25 lakh each will be allocated to Wards No. 1, 2, 3, and 8 to fund various development works. Other announcements included the construction of a 15-room Circuit House near the Maa Bamleshwari Temple in Dongargarh; an allocation of ₹1 crore for the new building of the Janpad Panchayat, Rajnandgaon; the development of a new sports ground for hockey training; and the decision to once again entrust the responsibility of producing ‘Ready-to-Eat’ food products to women’s self-help groups.

Chief Minister Sai stated that ‘Sushasan Tihar’ serves as a symbol of the government’s operational philosophy of “direct outreach to the people.” He stated that the ‘Sushasan Tihar’ (Good Governance Festival), which commenced on May 1st, will continue until June 10th; through this initiative, public grievances across the state are being resolved with promptness.

Chief Minister Sai emphasised that the resolution of common citizens’ problems must be ensured on the spot, and strict action will be taken against any officials found guilty of negligence or delay in this regard. He asserted that the fundamental objective of ‘Sushasan Tihar’ is to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the very last person in society. He further informed that, through the e-District system, over 400 services are now being made available online, enabling citizens to access these facilities from the comfort of their homes.

More over , a toll-free number will soon be launched under the Chief Minister’s Helpline, where the time-bound resolution of received complaints will be mandatory.

Highlighting the impact of the ‘Mahtari Vandan Yojana’ (Mother’s Reverence Scheme), the Chief Minister remarked that, through this scheme, women are not only contributing to the financial stability of their families but are also making strides toward self-employment and self-reliance. He also interacted with beneficiaries of the ‘PM-JANMAN’ and ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’ to gather feedback regarding the on-ground implementation of these schemes.

In his address, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh lauded the Chief Minister’s public-centric work ethic, noting that he is reaching out to the remotest corners of the state to engage in direct dialogue with the public. He observed that, despite the prevailing extreme temperatures, the Chief Minister’s continuous tours underscore his unwavering commitment to good governance.

Referring to the ongoing industrial development projects in the Rajnandgaon district, he announced that an Electronic Manufacturing Cluster is being established in the village of Patewa at a cost of approximately ₹345 crore, while a Space Manufacturing Cluster is being set up in the village of Bijetala at a cost of ₹25 crore; these initiatives are expected to boost employment opportunities and economic activity within the region.
