Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai pays tribute to the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi on the eve of his birth anniversary on Wednesday October, 2.

Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai paid tribute to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on the eve of his birth anniversary on Wednesday October 2 by offering flowers on his photograph and lightning a lamp in the State Guest House Pahuna. Takhatpur MLA Dharamjit Singh was also seen with him on the occasion.

Recalling the invaluable contribution of Mahatma Gandhi, Sai said that Mahatma Gandhi gave a new direction to the freedom movement in India. He set an example in front of the whole world by adopting the path of truth, love and non-violence.

Mahatma Gandhi had connected India with principle and practice in the true sense. He emphasized on Indians becoming self-reliant by using indigenous clothes and products. He adopted the symbol of spinning wheel, promoted Khadi. He ran many small and big campaigns for cleanliness. Following his path, on Gandhiji’s birth anniversary on October 2, 2014, Swachh Bharat Mission was started as a national movement across the country. We can pay our true tribute to Gandhiji by contributing to the creation of a clean and self-reliant India.
