Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday October 27, 2025 attended the turban ceremony of the late Banwari Lal Agarwal, former Deputy Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, held at Agrasen Bhawan in Korba.

He paid tribute to the late Banwari Lal Agarwal by laying a wreath on his portrait. The Chief Minister met the late Banwari Lal Agarwal’s wife Pushpa Agarwal, and his family members, consoled them, and expressed his deep condolences.

CM Sai said that the life of the late Banwari Lal Agarwal was an epitome of public service and dedication. He always worked for the development of Korba district and the welfare of the people. His simplicity, humility, and social sensitivity will remain an inspiration for all of us.

Public representatives, social organisations, dignitaries, and a large number of devotees were present at the event. Everyone remembered the contributions of late Agarwal and pledged to follow his ideals.

During this, Katghora MLA Premchand Patel, former Speaker of the Assembly Gaurishankar Agarwal, Mahavir Agarwal, Bajrang Lal Agarwal, Bihari Lal Agarwal, along with other public representatives were present.
