Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha marks 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure as a head of government; Telibandha Chowk in Raipur to also be developed as ‘Seva Jyoti Sankalp Chowk’

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday led the ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’ in Raipur and announced the development of ‘Seva Jyoti Sankalp Chowks’ at 38 locations across Chhattisgarh as the state marked 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure in public office as a head of government.
Addressing the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha’ at Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Sai said the proposed Sankalp Chowks would symbolise public service, nation-building and the commitment towards a developed India.
The Chief Minister also announced that Telibandha Chowk in Raipur would be developed as a ‘Seva Jyoti Sankalp Chowk’.
“These Sankalp Chowks will become symbols of public service, nation-building and the resolve for a developed India. They will inspire future generations that every citizen’s contribution is important to the progress of the nation,” Sai said.
The Chief Minister administered a pledge to public representatives and citizens to actively contribute towards building a developed Chhattisgarh and a developed India.

He later took a torch in his hand and led the ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’, which began from the Indira Gandhi Agricultural University and proceeded towards Telibandha Chowk. Sai also flagged off a motorcycle rally, with a large number of citizens and young people participating in the programme.
‘25 Years an Inspirational Journey of Public Service’
Referring to October 7, 2001, when Narendra Modi assumed office as Chief Minister of Gujarat, Sai said the completion of 25 years since then represented a journey of public service, governance, development and commitment to national interests.
He said Modi regards himself as the country’s ‘Pradhan Sevak’ and has worked with the guiding principle of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas.
According to Sai, India has made significant progress across sectors during this period and its growing economic and strategic stature is being increasingly recognised internationally.
“The Seva Jyoti Yatra is not only an occasion to honour Prime Minister Modi’s dedication to public service, but also an opportunity for us to renew our own commitment to participate in building a developed India,” the Chief Minister said.
Sai also wished the Prime Minister good health and a long life.
Month-Long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’
The Chief Minister said a month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ is being conducted across Chhattisgarh from September 17 to October 17, encompassing programmes associated with public service, cleanliness, environmental protection, welfare and community participation.
He said more than 1.5 crore ‘Aashirwad Ke Diye’ were lit across the state on September 17 as part of activities marking the Prime Minister’s birthday.

Sai said the campaign was intended to encourage people across Chhattisgarh to participate in activities connected with service and nation-building.
Citizens Central to Viksit Bharat, Says Sai
Referring to the national goal of making India a developed country by 2047, the Chief Minister said achieving it would require participation extending beyond governments and institutions.
“This is not merely the government’s goal; it is the collective resolve of 140 crore Indians,” Sai said.
He said the development of Chhattisgarh would be an integral part of achieving the larger national objective.
The state government, he said, has charted its long-term development priorities through ‘Chhattisgarh Anjor Vision @2047’, with an emphasis on bringing every region and section of society into the development mainstream.
Sai called upon citizens to discharge their individual responsibilities with sincerity and become active participants in achieving the goals of Viksit Chhattisgarh and Viksit Bharat.
Singapore Visit Finds Mention in CM’s Address
The Chief Minister also referred to his recent Singapore visit, saying Indian states were increasingly being encouraged to build stronger economic and institutional relationships internationally and benefit from opportunities in investment, technology, skills and innovation.
Sai said Chhattisgarh and Haryana were selected by the Ministry of External Affairs to participate in the inaugural Singapore-India Network for Growth (SING) Forum 2026.
He said meetings during the visit with investors, industry leaders and business organisations explored opportunities for investment and partnerships in different sectors.

According to the Chief Minister, interactions in Singapore reflected growing international interest in India and could create new opportunities for states such as Chhattisgarh.
‘We Will Do It’
Invoking the message “We Will Do It,” Sai said the goal of a developed India was ambitious but achievable through collective effort.
He called upon citizens to place national interest at the centre of their responsibilities and contribute with commitment and integrity.
Raipur MP Brijmohan Agrawal, addressing the gathering, congratulated Prime Minister Modi on completing 25 years since assuming office as a head of government and called upon citizens to strengthen the resolve towards nation-building through their participation in the Seva Jyoti Yatra.
Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade, MLAs Sunil Soni, Motilal Sahu, Purandar Mishra, Anuj Sharma and Indra Kumar Sahu, District Panchayat president Naveen Kumar Agrawal and several other public representatives were among those present.
