CM Sai wishes the people of the state on Dol Gyaras
Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has congratulated and wished the people of the state on the occasion of Dol Gyaras festival. On this occasion, he has prayed to Lord Krishna for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of all the citizens. In his congratulatory message, CM Sai has said that on the eighteenth day of Shri Krishna’s birth, Mother Yashoda performed his Jal Pujan (Ghat Pujan). This day is celebrated as ‘Dol Gyaras’. It is also called Jaljhulni Ekadashi. On the occasion of Dol Gyaras, after the worship of Lord Krishna, a procession is taken out with drums. Vishni Deo Sai has prayed that God should keep his blessings on everyone on the holy occasion of Ekadashi.
Dol Gyaras, or Padma Ekadashi, is a festival celebrated in Chhattisgarh and other parts of India. It is celebrated on the day of Bhadrapad Shukla Ekadashi mainly .
