Chief Minister seeks Lord Shiva’s blessings for the peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of Chhattisgarh

Raipur: Marking the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima on Wednesday July 29, 2026 , Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai visited the renowned Shri Shri 108 Satyanarayan Baba Dham at Kosamnara village in Raigarh district on Wednesday, where he offered prayers to Lord Shiva and sought blessings for the happiness, prosperity and continued progress of the people of the state.

The Chief Minister performed traditional rituals and Rudrabhishek at the temple, praying for peace, harmony and the welfare of every family across Chhattisgarh. Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary accompanied him during the visit.

Extending his greetings on Guru Purnima, Sai described the festival as a sacred occasion dedicated to expressing gratitude towards teachers and spiritual guides who illuminate the path of knowledge and righteousness.

Describing Satyanarayan Baba Dham as one of the state’s prominent centres of faith, the Chief Minister said the temple’s spiritual atmosphere offers devotees peace, confidence and renewed strength.

The Chief Minister also reaffirmed his government’s commitment to public welfare, stating that the blessings of spiritual leaders and the trust of the people continue to inspire the state’s development journey.

Sai said the state government is working with the vision of inclusive growth, ensuring that every section of society benefits from development initiatives while preserving Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural and spiritual traditions.

The visit witnessed the presence of Raigarh Mayor Jeevardhan Chauhan, senior administrative officials, temple authorities and a large number of devotees who had gathered at the shrine on the occasion of Guru Purnima.

The Chief Minister’s visit reflected the significance of Guru Purnima not only as a festival of devotion but also as a reminder of the timeless values of knowledge, humility and service that continue to guide Indian society.
