The death toll in the Vadodara bridge accident has risen to 19. The administration says that two people are still missing along with several vehicles that fell into the Mahisagar river in this accident and teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are continuously conducting search operations to find them. At the same time, four injured in the accident are being treated at SSG Hospital.
Vadodara : The death toll in the Gambhira Bridge accident in Vadodara, Gujarat has risen to 19, while four injured people are being treated in the hospital. The administration says that several vehicles and two people are still missing in this accident, rescue operations are on to locate them. Meanwhile, Gujarat Minister Rishikesh Patel has arrived to visit the accident site.
Giving information about the Gambhira Bridge accident, the administration said that 45-year-old Narendra Singh Parmar died during treatment at SSG Hospital on Friday. With this, the death toll in the accident has increased to 19.
Search operation is still going on

The condition of the injured is stable
Giving information about the bridge accident on Friday July 11, 2025 Vadodara Collector Anil Dhamelia said, ‘Rescue operation is still going on in the incident that happened on Wednesday July 9, 2025 . On the same day we recovered 12 bodies and yesterday we recovered 6 bodies. We found 5 people on the first day itself, all of them are in stable condition… The remaining bodies are stuck under a slab and we are trying to remove them.
He further said that a truck is also stuck and its driver is missing, his search is on.
In fact, on Wednesday morning, July 9, a part of the four-decade-old Gambhira Bridge built on the Mahisagar River near Padra town of Vadodara collapsed. Due to which many vehicles fell into the Mahisagar River. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the local administration immediately started the rescue operation. So far the rescue team has taken out 19 bodies from the river.
