Raipur: Nava Raipur Atal Nagar is set to add another major name to its expanding hospitality landscape, with Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) planning a 111-room Ginger Hotel, strengthening the city’s emergence as a business, investment and tourism destination.
The proposed hotel will be developed as a brownfield project in partnership with ECHT Ventures, adding a nationally recognised hospitality brand to the infrastructure taking shape in Nava Raipur.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said here on Thursday , September 10, 2026 that the project reflects growing investor confidence in Chhattisgarh as well as Nava Raipur’s increasing recognition at the national level.
“The establishment of IHCL’s Ginger Hotel in Nava Raipur reflects growing investor confidence in Chhattisgarh and Nava Raipur’s increasing national recognition,” Sai said.
He said the State Government is working consistently to develop Nava Raipur as a modern, well-equipped and investment-friendly city. Expansion of quality hospitality infrastructure would provide better facilities to investors, entrepreneurs, professionals and tourists arriving from across India and abroad, while generating greater economic activity.
From Administrative Capital to Business Destination
Nava Raipur, Sai said, is gradually expanding beyond its original role as an administrative capital and emerging as an important centre for investment, education, employment, tourism and modern services.
The entry of established national hospitality brands is significant for a city seeking to attract companies, institutions, conferences, business delegations and investment projects.
Finance, Housing and Environment Minister O. P. Choudhary said the Ginger project would further strengthen Nava Raipur’s developing business and hospitality ecosystem.
According to Choudhary, the expansion of major institutions, investment projects and corporate activity is simultaneously creating demand for dependable, quality accommodation.
“The entry of a recognised brand such as Ginger highlights Nava Raipur’s transformation and its growing potential as a preferred destination for business, tourism and investment,” he said.
The State Government, he added, is committed to creating a modern and convenient ecosystem for entrepreneurs investing in Nava Raipur as well as delegates and visitors arriving from India and overseas.
111 Rooms, Qmin Restaurant and Business Facilities
The proposed Ginger Nava Raipur will have 111 modern rooms and will cater to both business and leisure travellers.
Plans include Qmin, Ginger’s signature all-day dining restaurant, meeting rooms and a fitness centre. These facilities are expected to add to the range of organised hospitality options available in the planned city.
The development assumes significance as Nava Raipur continues to attract institutional, commercial and investment activity, increasing the requirement for accommodation, dining, meeting and business-support facilities.
For the city, the project represents more than the addition of another hotel. The arrival of an established hospitality brand provides another indication of Nava Raipur’s gradual transition into a broader commercial and services hub alongside its administrative role.
