Root scored the most runs, Jadeja shone with the ball

Winning the toss and batting first, England scored 304 runs in 49.5 overs. The English team had a great start. Phil Salt and Ben Duckett together made a partnership of 81 runs in 10.5 overs. Duckett completed his fifty in just 36 balls during this period. This opening partnership was ended by Varun Chakraborty, who got Salt caught out by Ravindra Jadeja. Salt scored 26 runs in 29 balls, which included two fours and a six. After this, Ravindra Jadeja finished Duckett in his very first over. Duckett scored 65 runs in 56 balls with the help of 10 fours, from here Joe Root and Harry Brook together made a partnership of 66 runs for the third wicket. Brook was caught by Shubman Gill on Harshit Rana’s ball after scoring 31 runs.
