Team India’s star spinner Ravindra Jadeja has done a great job by taking 10 wickets at the Wankhede Stadium. Jaddu gave a memorable performance of his career in the third test.
The last match of the test series between India and New Zealand is going on in Mumbai. In this match being played at Wankhede Stadium, India bowled out New Zealand for 174 runs in the second innings. Jadeja did wonders for India in both these innings and took a total of 10 wickets. On the basis of this strong performance, he made a special record in his name. Jadeja did that feat at Wankhede, which he had not been able to do in his career till date.
This is the first time that Jadeja has achieved the feat of taking five wickets in both innings of the same Test match.
This performance of Ravindra Jadeja is his second best performance in Test cricket. The best performance came against Australia in February last year, when Jaddu took a total of 10 wickets in a single match.
Ravindra Jadeja has become the second Indian spinner to take five wickets in both innings of a Test match against New Zealand. Before him, Ravichandran Ashwin has achieved this feat.
In this match, New Zealand has given India a target of 147 runs to win. New Zealand scored 235 runs in the first innings and 174 runs in the second innings. India was leading by 28 runs with 263 runs in the first innings. Therefore, it has got a target of 174 runs. Team India has lost this series 2-0. Now its reputation is at stake in the third test. Jadeja has tried his best, and now the batsmen have to do the rest.
