Lok Sabha speaker formed JPC on Waqf Board bill, names of 31 MPs including Imran Masood and Asaduddin Owaisi
The speaker Om Birla has formed a JPC (Joint parliamentary committee) on the Waqf Board bill. The speaker has included 31 MPs in the JPC. This JPC will have 21 MPs from Lok Sabha and 10 MPs from Rajya Sabha. Asaduddin Owaisi and Imran Masood are also included in the JPC.
The JPC formed by the speaker regarding the Waqf Act currently has 31 members. AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi and Congress MP Imran Masood are also included in this JPC. The JPC formed regarding the Waqf Bill will decide which changes in the Waqf Act are correct and which are wrong. Then this report will be sent to the government. But the government is not bound to accept the recommendations of the JPC.
