MLA Devendra Yadav will remain in jail for now, Yadav community protested against his arrest

Bilaspur: The Yadav community has expressed deep resentment over the arrest of Bhilai MLA Devendra Yadav. On Tuesday August 20 , the community officials openly protested on this issue at the Bilaspur Press Club. They said that Devendra Yadav has always stood in the interest of the society and has never supported disruptive elements. His presence in the protest demonstration of the Scheduled Caste community is being misrepresented. The leaders of the community say that MLA Yadav has been implicated in fake cases due to political animosity.

OBC Backward Class Front District President Hiralal Yadav, Youth Yadav Samaj District President Amit Yadav, Yadav Samaj District President Shiv Shankar Yadav, State Joint Secretary Manoj Yadav, Regional President Gaurishankar Yadav, Youth Cell’s Akash Yadav, Spokesperson Virendra Yadav, and Joint Secretary Sunil Yadav attended the press conference.

All of them said that if Devendra Yadav is not released soon, the Yadav community will protest across the state. They said that serious charges including Section 307 have been leveled against the MLA, while there is no concrete evidence against him. Even after the arrest, the copy of the FIR has not been given to the family. There is anger in the society due to this arrest.

Chhattisgarh’s Bhilai Nagar MLA Devendra Yadav has been sent to jail on 7-day judicial remand. On Tuesday August 20 , he appeared in court through video conferencing. It is being told that Devendra Yadav will not file a bail petition at the moment. He will file a bail petition only after the police presents the challan. Devendra’s close ones say that in the next hearing, the lawyer will give arguments to put pressure on the police to present the challan. At this time, the entire focus is on getting the police to present the challan.

Challan has to be presented within 90 days Police administration has to present the challan within 90 days only. Devendra’s lawyer says that till now he has not received the copy of the FIR from the police. Therefore it is important that the police present the challan in the court as soon as possible.

We have witnesses against Devendra – Police According to a senior officer of Balodabazar Police, the police have witnesses against Devendra. There are statements of some people. Apart from this the police also have some videos. On this basis action is being taken against him.
