Modi-Biden talks begins

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached US President Biden’s house for bilateral talks. Bilateral talks have started between the two leaders. These talks are taking place at Biden’s house in Delaware. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a three-day US visit from today. On this tour, PM Modi will participate in the Quad summit.

Along with this, many bilateral meetings are also likely to take place. Narendra Modi has visited America 8 times so far as PM and is now on the ninth visit. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) had informed on Tuesday September 17 that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a visit to America from 21 to 23 September. During this, Prime Minister Modi will attend the fourth summit of Quad leaders, which will be held in Wilmington, Delaware on 21 September.
This conference will be hosted by US President Joe Biden. After this, on September 22, he will participate in the program related to the Indian community in New York. PM Modi will also participate in the United Nations’ ‘Summit of the Future’ on September 23, the last day of his tour.

If we look at the history of Indian Prime Ministers during this visit of PM Modi, we find that the first PM Jawaharlal Nehru visited America 4 times during his tenure. So far, a total of 9 Indian Prime Ministers, including Modi and his predecessor Manmohan Singh, have officially visited America. Former PM Manmohan Singh visited America 8 times, while the country’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru visited America 4 times. Atal Bihari Vajpayee has also visited America 4 times. Apart from this, former PMs Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi (3 times), P.V. Narasimha Rao (2 times), and Morarji Desai and I.K. Gujral have visited America 1 time each.
