Neeraj Chopra has won a silver medal for India in the Paris Olympics-2024. Neeraj finished second in the javelin throw final played on Thursday night. Neeraj had won the gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics-2020.
There were expectations of gold from Neeraj in Paris too, but he missed it and had to settle for the silver medal. Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem won the gold medal with a throw of 92.97 meters. Nadeem won the gold with an Olympic record. Neeraj won the silver medal with a throw of 89.45 meters. Neeraj has become the fourth Indian player to win two Olympic medals. Before him, Sushil Kumar, PV Sindhu and Manu Bhaker had achieved this feat. The whole country expected from Neeraj that he would win India’s first gold medal in the Paris Olympics, but despite trying his best, he failed in doing so.
