No-confidence motion against Rajya Sabha Chairman: Kiren Rijiju said- Opposition insulted the chair in both the houses

No-Confidence Motion Against Jagdeep Dhankhar: On Tuesday, the opposition has given a notice of no-confidence motion against Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar. According to information, this notice has the signatures of 60 MPs. At least 50 MPs are required to give a notice against the Chairman.

The opposition has given a notice of no-confidence motion against Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar. Opposition parties on Tuesday December 10 gave a notice under Article 67B to present a no-confidence motion against Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar. This notice has been submitted to Rajya Sabha Secretary General PC Modi.

Opposition disrespected the dignity of the chair – Rijiju

On the matter, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said, ‘The opposition has disrespected the dignity of the chair, be it Rajya Sabha or Lok Sabha. The Congress Party and its alliance have misbehaved by constantly not following the instructions of the chair. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar comes from a simple background. He always talks about the welfare of farmers and people inside and outside Parliament. He guides us. We respect him. The notice that has been given – I strongly condemn this decision of the 60 MPs who have signed the notice. The NDA has a majority and we all have faith in the Chairman. We are happy with the way he guides the House.

The opposition had made a plan four months ago

Let us tell you that earlier in August also the opposition needed the signatures of the leaders to present the proposal, but at that time they did not move forward. At the same time, according to sources, many members of the opposition alliance including Congress, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Samajwadi Party (SP) are together to take this proposal forward. However, there is still doubt on the stand of Trinamool Congress. Whereas, Biju Janata Dal President Naveen Patnaik said that his party will take a careful decision on India Block’s move to bring a no-confidence motion against Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar.
