Paddy procurement will start in Chhattisgarh from November 15, farmers will get support price of Rs 3100 per quintal
Raipur: Dhan Kharidi ( Paddy Procurement ) 2024: Paddy procurement is like a big festival for the farmers in Chhattisgarh, and this year too the state government has made preparations to start paddy procurement from November 15. According to the Food and Agriculture Department, a target of 160 lakh metric tonnes of paddy procurement has been set this year.
2058 cooperative societies and 2739 paddy procurement centers have been set up across the state for paddy procurement, so that the process can be expedited. Farmers will get support price at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal this year too, which will increase their income.
The government has given instructions to make necessary facilities for the farmers at the paddy procurement centers, such as seating arrangements and drinking water, so that the farmers do not face any kind of problem.
