Raipur: Children in Parsa village in Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh district are set to benefit from new primary and middle school buildings, with administrative approval of ₹33.90 lakh granted under the District Mineral Foundation (DMF). The initiative follows efforts by Finance Minister and Raigarh MLA O.P. Choudhary under Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s leadership to strengthen educational facilities in remote and forest areas.
Parsa, a dependent village of Bairagi gram panchayat in Dharamjaigarh development block, will receive the two buildings to provide children with a better learning environment.
Separate Allocations for Both Schools
Of the total sanctioned amount, ₹14.30 lakh has been earmarked for the primary school building and ₹19.60 lakh for the middle school building. Both works have been accorded high priority.
The approval follows the decision taken at the DMF Governing Council meeting on 11 May 2026. The Chief Executive Officer of Janpad Panchayat Dharamjaigarh has been entrusted with executing the construction works.
DMF funds support development and the expansion of basic facilities in mining-affected areas. The school buildings in Parsa will further this objective by strengthening local educational infrastructure.
Quality and Timely Completion Mandated
The district administration has directed the construction agency to maintain quality and complete the buildings within the prescribed timeframe and sanctioned budget.
Photographs of the sites must be taken before construction begins, during execution and after completion. An information board at each site must display the scheme’s name, sanctioned amount, and construction commencement and completion dates.
The agency must also submit progress reports to the DMF by the fifth of every month.
