Passengers to get new train facility: Railway Minister writes a letter to CM Sai …

Raipur: Chhattisgarh is going to get another gift of a new train service from Raipur to Jabalpur . The Union Minister of Railways of India Ashwini Vaishnav has written a letter to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai informing that the Raipur-Jabalpur new express train will be flagged off on Sunday August 3 , 2025.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav informed through a letter that the Government of India is fully committed to strengthen railway services and infrastructure in Chhattisgarh.

At present, various railway projects are in progress in the state at a cost of ₹ 44,657 crore. In the budget for the year 2025, Chhattisgarh has been sanctioned a record ₹ 6,925 crore.

32 railway stations of Chhattisgarh are being equipped with world-class facilities, out of which 5 stations were recently inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Besides the operation of two Vande Bharat trains is already going on in Chhattisgarh, which is an exemplar of ‘Make in India’ initiative.

Raipur-Jabalpur Express train will not only make travel between Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh easier, but will also give new impetus to trade, tourism and social interaction. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has expressed his gratitude to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and said that with the cooperation of the central government, the rail network in the state is expanding rapidly, due to which the public is getting the benefit of convenient and modern rail services, CM Sai added.
