PM Modi will reach America directly from France, will meet Trump at the White House today , know which issues will be discussed

Since Donald Trump came to power, he has imposed heavy tariffs on countries like Canada, Mexico and China. Trump’s stance has also been tough on imposing tariffs on India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump are scheduled to meet in Washington on February 13. This is PM Modi’s first bilateral visit since Trump was sworn in for his second term. This meeting between the two leaders is considered important in many ways. The meeting in Washington is expected to focus on strengthening India-US strategic relations, especially in areas such as trade, defense and energy cooperation.
According to the report, PM Modi will reach Washington late tonight i.e. on February 12, 2025 and will hold talks with President Trump the next day.

Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States on January 20. After his swearing-in, Prime Minister Modi spoke to him on January 27, during which both leaders expressed commitment to a ‘trusted’ partnership, focusing on increasing cooperation in trade, energy and defense.

Will tariffs be discussed?

Since Donald Trump came to power, he has imposed heavy tariffs on countries like Canada, Mexico and China. Trump’s stance has also been tough on imposing tariffs on India. But till now Trump has not imposed any kind of tariff on India. It is believed that during this visit, there can be talks between the two leaders regarding tariffs.

Along with this, Trump can also have talks with American businessmen including billionaire businessman and DOGE in-charge Elon Musk in Trump’s team. India’s agenda is also American investment in the nuclear energy sector.

PM Modi will reach Washington on today Wednesday February 12, 2025 and will meet Trump on February 13, 2025 . During this, Trump will also host dinner for PM Modi at the White House.
